This server Operating System has built in features for running large and busy servers. It enables you to run Apache web sites, intranets between computers or more. OS X Server is the combination of the appreciated Unix platform and the easy to use Mac platform. The Apache web server has proved to be a powerful and durable server, quite possible one of the best. When running OS X Server, there is a major drawback, you must meet very high system requirements. You need a G3 and plenty of RAM and hard drive space. Then you have to partition your hard drive into special formats. Depending on what you want to do, you may need up to 256 MB of RAM and a minimum of a 5 GB hard drive. But if you can run it, it should perform very well. The price may be another drawback, depending on what you want to spend. You can buy the final version for a little bit under $500.
